Beliefs and attitudes of Australian learner drivers toward driving and avoiding driving through floodwater

Driving through floodwater is a significant cause of flood-related injury and mortality, opportunities exist to embed safe driving messages regarding floodwaters novice drivers in graduated driver licensing schemes. To inform future educational efforts, we investigated the beliefs attitudes Australian learner about avoiding floodwaters. Methods: The study adopted cross-sectional correlational design with measures drawn from theory planned behaviour administered within an online survey. Phase 1 (N = 44 drivers) aimed identify core associated floodwater. 2 250 tested these predicting willingness drive as well social psychological factors that predict drivers’ avoid using pre-tested scenario.
